WIN THE RACE AGAINST FLU!
Please book an appointment for your flu vaccination.  You are eligible for a free flu vaccination if you are aged over 65 years, pregnant or suffer from a chronic condition such as COPD, Diabetes or Heart problems.  If you are unsure whether you are eligible for a free flu vaccination, please contact the practice for advice. 

ISLINGTON IHUB -  EVENING AND WEEKEND APPOINTMENTS!!

Islington IHUB offers increased access to GPs for patients registered at any Islington practice.

Islington has 3 hub. Registered patients are now able to book appointments with Islington doctors and nurses at an Islington GP hub when the practice is closed. Simply ask a receptionist for an ”I:Hub” appointment and they will try to offer you one that is both convenient for you and that also suits your health needs.

Islington GP hubs are open between 6.30pm and 8.00pm each weekday and from 8.00am to 8.00pm at the weekend.

If we are closed you can call the usual surgery number between 6.30pm to 8.00pm Mon to Fri and 8.00am to 8.00pm on Saturdays and Sundays and your call will be answered by i:Hub staff who will be able to assist you. These appointments are available for routine appointments and do not need to be urgent requests.

If you book an appointment you will be asked to give consent for the doctor or nurse to see your medical records, on this occasion only, in order to provide you with the best care.

 

PATIENT ONLINE SERVICES                                                                                                                                               

Did you know that you could register for patient online services?  This will include repeat prescription requests, booking or cancelling appointments and viewing certain aspects of your medical records.  If you wish to access these services, please attend the practice with photographic identification.  You will be provided with unique login details and information on how to register.  For more information, please contact the practice.

  • IMPROVE YOUR BRAIN POWER - EXERCISE IMPROVES LEARNING, CONCENTRATION, ABSTRACT REASONING AND MEMORY.  IT EVEN STIMULATES BRAIN CELL REGENERATION.
  • HELP YOU SLEEP BETTER - REGULAR ACTIVITY PROMOTES BETTER SLEEP, ALTHOUGH STRENUOUS EXERCISE BEFORE GOING TO BED IS NOT ADVISED

Data Collection on Fit notes-

The Health and Social Care Information Cente (HSCIC) have informed us that they will be extracting data from the practice system about fit notes. Any data collected will be anonymous.

Islington iHUB

There are several iHUB locations in Islington. Registered patients are now able to book appointments with Islington doctors and nurses at an Islington GP hub when the practice is closed. Simply ask a receptionist for an iHUB appointment and they will try to offer you one that is both convenient for you and that also suits your health needs.

 

Islington GP hubs are open between 6.30pm and 8.00pm each weekday and from 8.00am to 8.00pm at the weekend.

 

If we are closed you can call the usual surgery number between 6.30pm to 8.00pm Mondays to Fridays and 8.00am to 8.00pm on Saturdays and Sundays and your call will be answered by iHUB staff, who will be able to assist you. These appointments are available for routine appointments and do not need to be urgent requests.

 

You can also book iHUB appointments by calling the surgery during normal opening hours and you can book appointments at our surgery in normal hours by calling iHUB via the surgery number between 6:30 & 8pm on weekdays or 8am to 8pm at weekends.

 

If you book an appointment, the doctor or nurse may, only with your consent, view your GP held medical records, on that occasion only, in order to provide you with the best care.

NHS 111

If you telephone outside opening hours you will receive and automated message providing you with a telephone number to contact if you need urgent medical attention.

Between 18.30 and 08.00 on a weekday, or all weekend and bank holidays your problem will be dealt with by a doctor from NHS 111. This service provides out of hour care services for our patients. NHS 111 can be contacted on: 111 which is free from mobiles and landlines.  

   


Ritchie Centre Neighbourhood Health Centre

Alternatively, you can access a GP for advice and treatment at the local GP-led Health Centre, Ritchie Street Neighbourhood Health Centre, without having to make a prior appointment. They are open from Monday - Friday 8:00 - 20:00 and on Weekends and Bank Holidays 9:00 - 18:00 and their contact details are:
